Juno nominated, Andy Duinker is a multi-faceted performer. As a solo artist he sings soothing ballads, lusty Stan Rogers tunes and everything in between. He performs his own original songs, contemporary folk songs, traditional ballads, sea songs, Maritime-flavoured songs and standard favourites. His extensive vocal range allows for both rich bass solos and lyrical tenor melodies to be handled with ease and fluidity.

Andy joins musical forces with Donna Rhodenizer who lends her vocal harmonies and violin and keyboard talents to their performances. Together they perform toe- tapping fiddle tunes and gentle lyrical instrumental melodies in a varied musical presentation. Andy's gentle wit and humorous anecdotes endear him to audiences of all ages and, combined with his musical presentation, creates a performance that will be remembered long after the concert hall has emptied.
Andy has been involved in numerous recording projects. His CD Fine Company
is an easy listening, contemporary traditional/Maritime/folk recording featuring Andy's bass/baritone/tenor voice supported
by Donna's instrumental and vocal
harmonies. Andy is the composer of one of the fiddle tunes on the newly released CD, Musically Yours, which includes some of the instrumental repertoire regularly performed by Andy and Donna.
Andy is equally comfortable performing for adult, mixed family, and children's audiences. He performs children’s music as part of the JUNO nominated duo, "Donna & Andy". All four of Donna & Andy's children’s recordings Blue Skies & Pirates, Dinosaurs, Dragons and Me, Computer Cat, and It's Christmas Time have received ECMA and MNS awards or nominations and they were nominated for a 2007 Juno. They have performed for children in schools, festivals, and concert venues across the country.
In addition to performing and recording, Andy is active as a publisher and composer. He often co-writes with fellow performer and composer, Donna Rhodenizer with whom he co-owns Red Castle Publishing, the company responsible for publishing and distributing their recorded and printed music. Andy and Donna arrange songs for their own performances as well as publishing their original songs as choir arrangements through the Rhodenizer & Duinker Choral series. Their attention to lyrical, singable lines for each vocal section makes their music popular with choristers of all ages. Over 20,000 octavos, 4,000 song books and 30,000 copies of their CDs have been distributed across Canada, US, Europe and Australia.
Andy lives in Cambridge with his wife Pam. They have four children including two daughters who play basketball for the Acadia Axewomen, much to the delight of their very proud father.
