WHY CAN'T I BE?

    CHORUS
    Why can't I be like the birch in the meadow
    and bend in the wind and play in the sunshine?
    Why must I fight every day for existence?
    I just want to embrace life and greet it as mine.
All secrets are whispered and passed on the breezes,
Which bend the trees gently, their ears to their neighbour;
And out of the twilight there comes a reflection,
The secret is love and it's there for us all.
    CHORUS
Grass will grow greenly when spring is awakened,
And oceans will clap their hands against the shore.
All nature reflects the life giv'n by the Master
Who made life and love and He's there for us all.
    CHORUS
